Jane Panton - July
For July I used the word 'luxurious'. I started off with a piece of felt I made last summer on a course with Jeanette Appleton at Bankfield museum. It has been hanging around ever since! I free machined into it quite heavily and then sewed on clusters of beads. The original piece of felt has various threads and pieces of sheers embedded into it.
Jane Panton - June
This is the first piece of our 5"x7" challenge and I am using the word 'garden'. For my inspiration, I spent a very wet but enjoyable morning at Warley Open Gardens. I used procion dyed binding tape and wove it to form the background. Then I free machined floral designs onto it and finished with a small amount of hand stitching.
